Donate food and items
The network connects donations from individuals, shops, food suppliers and supermarkets with organisations providing food aid in Leeds.
How donations move through the network
- Food and items are offered. Donations may come from individuals, shops, supermarkets or food suppliers.
- Distribution partners help coordinate supply. FareShare and Rethink Food are important parts of the wider food distribution picture.
- Food providers use donations locally. Food banks, drop ins, outreach teams and pantries can then support people experiencing food poverty.

Before donating
In a live service, donors should check current provider needs, storage limits, expiry dates and delivery arrangements before sending items. This prototype presents the intended user journey without processing live donations.
